Default UPS Eaton AVR 1200 Rear Fan Questions

I have an Eaton AVR 1200 ups. Rear fan works all the time making a very annoying noise, so i d like to ask a couple of things.

    1. Is its possible to make the fan work only when needed? Lets say when electricity is off and ups start giving power to pc, or when it charges the batteries etc?

    2. Is it possible (and easy) to change the stock fan with another one and if yes whats the fan needed (size, connections etc)?

    Thank you

You should identify your fan, at first.

    1. As for me, this is impossible. Do you think that a manufacturer has put it in without any special necessity?
    2. As it told above, it is not possible to make an advice without data related to it.
