The XFX XTR should be a 2013 model, so very recent and well performing: incidentally, it should be about the same of the Seasonic X-850.
At any rate, this platform is an higher quality and higher performing one than any other PSU you quoted.

By the way, there should be another XFX XTR 850W in the wild, based upon the Seasonic G-series: it's still a good PSU, better than the Antec you quoted, but it's of a lower grade than the X-850.

There's no XFX XTR 850W based on Seasonic G (that platform only goes up to 750W), XFX XTR 850W is only based on X KM3.

I read that info at your site, maybe you'd like to correct that table.

Did you forget how tables work, quest_for_silence? Clearly, the "G" is in the cell corresponding to the 550W, 650W and 750W rows. The platform cell of the 850W model is empty, and the platform cell for the 1050W model is empty too. If all models in this line were based on the same platform, then obviously the "G" cell would span across all five rows, not just the first three ones.

Since i hadn't read any review about the XTR 850, i was afraid exactly what you mentioned, that it might be based on a different platform.
But still, if it's an X KM3 platform, isn't better than the G platform?

Don't check my formatting skills, dear mate, rather your logical ones: that information is contradictory, that's my opinion, do what you think best.

What is contradictory here? The table doesn't show any platform info for the 850W/1050W models. Only for the 550W-750W units.

The empty cells mean "no info", not "platform is the same as the cells above". The 850W and 1050W columns don't have their platform names, because I couldn't have gotten around to input that yet.
If it actually did say that all the units in that line were based on the G platform, then it would have to look like this:

    See the difference?
I don't want to get too far off topic, but I also want to clear up any confusion.

The presence of both those rows along with the Proseries 850 and 1050 ones.

I corrected my post twice on the sole basis of your database which reports two rows for the same PSUs without any anchor/link between them, and I think that information is contradictory, I hope you don't take offense by my thought.

To be fair, as maybe expected, XFX is the source of that apparent confusion:

Apparently the sole difference between those units is the fan grille.
