    Default World of Tanks

Anyone play it, either EU/NA servers ?

I find it quite fun, although it is a 'free' to download and play game, I do actually spend real money on it for a few things.

Just wondering if I am the only one here, and it keeps me out of mischief as only a 69 year old can do.

I know tons of people in the UK play it.

For whatever reason, it's not really caught on in the U.S.

I would love to see the distribution of players per region. Just out of curiosity.

Played it like mad for 4 years or so. 46000 battles, ESL competitions, almost Unicum, bla-bla.
I've sold my account last month. It's not fun anymore. At least for me.

Meantime I'm playing War Thunder. Planes and tanks. It's something else. It has tons of problems but picking the right tank/plane it could be fun.

From tomorrow I'll give Armored Warfare a chance. OBT starts and playing it in CBT was very promising (compared to WoT).

A bit late I know, but thanks for the replies.
The game is very popular in the UK and Europe, but I am not sure of the numbers involved in both the EU1 and EU2 servers, or the NA servers.

I could check buy loading up the game, but busy doing something else.

I have made a friend with a very nice German chap from the north of Germany, plus some other players who originate from the USA but now live and work in Norway, Finland, and I forget where else.

It has opened up a new world for me, since I have started playing using the Teamspeak3 software, whereas previous online games I didn't use any voice software.

Still, at 69 years and quickly approaching December when I hit 70 years, it is nice to get back to a multiplayer game, and keeps me out of mischief.

I think many players have gone over to World of Warships, World of Warplanes, War Thunder, and the new Armoured Warfare.

But I think some players have found that the 'grass is not greener' with some of these games, and have come back to player WoT.

I have only been playing it since about April last year, and have only knocked up about 12,000 battles, and am still an 'orange' noob skills player......however my latest love is the Rhm Borsig.

There is so many idiots lately it is almost no fun at all. If U play Baron I could use somebody to plat, in 2 ppl who know at least a little bit what's going on, you can do something. Single player in a team of idiots you have no chance.

I belong to a clan: WJDE which is full of very nice people from the UK and Europe. and it is an easy going clan too. No CW and stuff, but TB when enough players want to join, and of course platooning, and no set training games, so that I can play what I want and when I want, and no one gets the huff if I decline an 'invite' to a platoon. I just mention in chat why I don't want to, or cannot play...like it's meal time of something.

So it is an easy going clan, with players of various 'colours' including a few 'purple' ones.
Incidentally, I am just an 'orange' noob after some 12,000 battles.

Yes I agree that there are quick a few pillocks whining about other players before the battle has even started, plus during the battle and some giving orders of where to go on the map, and in some very rare cases, getting shot in the back if you don't obey them.
All extra credits and XP for me.

    My game name is: Trillock1945.

I've played it for a long time. 10,000+ battles. It was seriously addictive, however eventually it got boring for me. I think the graphics and maps are getting dated as well.

I think the grind to get new tanks keeps a lot of people motivated to play.

I don't think the game has improved a lot since 2011.
