    Default Quiet 750w PSU

As the title states, looking for a very quiet 750 psu. I am coming from a Cooler Master V450S, which was pretty quiet.

Did try the EVGA G2 750w and I didn't like the fan sound - I know I could use fanless mode, but if I upgrade the gpu and it goes past the fanless mode limit, then the fan issue would still remain.

Suggestions on a 750w very quiet psu, in the £100 range.

    Thanks.

Why did you replace the Cooler Master V450S? Your PC takes less then 300W peak. If it wasn't silent enough, then the be quiet! Straight Power 10 400W would be perfect.

If you will draw more than about 375W DC, then the PSU noise will likely be the last of your (sound level) problems.

375 W DC is a bit on the high side.

I was hoping that changing the psu might help with coil whine in my gpu. It didn't.

    What's the Corsair RMi like?

But I was thinking ahead to next year, with the hopefully newer gpu's dropping and having enough room to accommodate a sizeable upgrade into my system.

You need to mod the cabling soldering suitable capacitors on them, to mitigate GPU coil whine (I hope Jon and Tator want to jump in about that, I can't help more).

Is it worth the chance to rma it to the retailer, or just suck it up. The gpu is only one week old.

2200uF between the 12V and ground if I remember correctly.

    RMA the graphics card.
