    Default good buy for a PSU?

    hello everyone as I mentioned before tigerDirect closed already as of yesterday so I managed to get my hands on an ultra x4 750 power supply which is 80 Plus bronze rated the regular price was 119.99 I managed to purchase it for less than $42 including tax Was this a good buy? Its fully modular

    Andyson actually (there is a Sirfa one as well, according to RHTX, but linked one is Andyson). Pretty OK, but not much more above that. For a little over $40 it's not a bad buy, but such questions should be asked BEFORE you pull the trigger.

    @Bauto that's Andyson, but there are a few different versions of the 750W unit (including one new by Sirfa)

    if it was a Sirtec the transformer marking would start with "19."

    The model number is u12-41562
    According to rhtx its an andyson build not the best but I'm I guess its OK enough its better than that no name crap on fleabay

    Oh, i looked at the heatsinks and that style of heatsink is also used by sirtec:

    Thanks for that link, i managed to view an identical powersupply to my own Thermaltake Xaser III Purepower 480w 550 peak the sirtec on the link is virtually identical to the thermaltake and has been very reliable.. thanks again for the link.

    About the Ultra, sure its not the likes of a Corsair AX1500i quality but it's reliable
