Default Corsair CMPSU-430CXv3: what is it?

Jon and everybody else, I saw on PCPartPicker that this "new" (?) SKU appeared (with no data): can you tell me whether it exists, and in case which are the differences with reference to the CX-430 (v2?) currently sold at NewEgg for $19.99 (AMIR), if any?

    First: CX430 without 80PLUS
    Second: CX430V2 with 80PLUS
Third: CX430 Bronze with 80PLUS Bronze.
Newer means lower quality, capacitor wise.

Thank you The Mask: I've some doubt about, as on Corsair website they call the CX 430 Bronze as CMPSU-430CXV2.

So current Bronze (V2 or V3) has lower grade caps than CXv2 Samxons (seen on Aris and Torres reviews)?

You should indeed have some doubt about Corsairs website.

Yeah the new Bronze uses Samxon, JunFu and CapXon.

What a shame... is there anything better (quality wise) in the same price-range (I mean, a PSU with higher grade e-caps)?

Antec EarthWatts Green EA-380D or EVGA 500W 80PLUS.

Hm, at first glance the alternatives don't seem really that better, Mask.
As far as I recall the Antec should sport low tier Ltec, as sometimes Delta does (but it is a nice unit I own).
And the EVGA (even if it should sport CapXons and not JunFu) should have noticeably inferior performances than that humble CX.

Delta uses a mix of Ltec, NCC and Taicon in the secondary, all are a better option then CapXon and JunFu in my experience.

The EVGA uses Teapo only in the secondary, like most HEC based units.

So all in all the only safe harbour seems Seasonic (but they don't have any unit up to 40 USD with a pair of 6pin PCIe connector).

If it should last some years, then yeah Seasonic is most of the time your only option.
