The G50M is probably the best choice in it's price range. The caps aren't exactly my favourites, but with 5 years warranty just trash the psu after this time and you're good.

Yes, maybe Phaedrus can explain better why 5-10 euros more cannot be considered in that-series price tags for more renowned (reliable?) ones.

Because then it wouldn't have been "fĂĽr unter 45 Euro"

Besides, this platform is practically ripple-proof, so those caps won't be stressed, plus it's pretty efficient and the layout is open enough for good, unrestricted airflow... It should easily last it's full warranty, and then some.
Careful what you wish for... You just might get it.

Actually the caps bother me less than the sleeve bearing fan. I was never happy with these simple fans after some years.

What's that sleeved green thing just to the north of the yellow MOV? A second NTC thermistor?:

The GM and VSM are complementary. If you want the 80PLUS Gold certification, higher quality caps, and ball bearing fan you can spring the extra 10-20 dollars/euros for the VSM. If you want to save that money, the GM still offers excellent performance and quiet operation in a compact size.

@TELVM - I believe that is an NTC thermistor, yes.

Correction on Computerbase's review, the OEM is Enhance, not CWT.

Really? Colour me dumbfounded. The transformer markings, part numbers (fets, diodes, etc) and general layout, as well as PCB markings (like the little GP seen in the lower-left corner on this photo) correspond with the CWT GPN platform seen in reviews like these.

Agreed, no way in hell is it Enhance, unless they under specific orders blatantly copied CWT...

It's possible I've been misinformed, I haven't been very involved with the GM series as that launch was focused on the EU.
