Capstone watch for sales and rebates. In my experience 550/650 units show up at less than or equal to 450 price.
The 450 may be more efficient at idle draw but, over kill is so tempting.
SSDs perform pretty much the same in real world, though some have better reputations.
When shopping a short list is a good idea.
IE newegg has a 72 hour sale on a last generation Crucial 240 GB M500 at $95 with code EMCWPWC22. Currect model Crucial MX100 is $113.
Watch amazon and newegg (and tiger direct, if you like rebates) as they duke out sale prices.
mmm, historically mATX motherboards cost more than ATX, when on sale. I think there is (or was) more sales volume to the ATX size.
    IE
Asus Z97A $140 (36 hour sale with code $135) [NOT A GOOD EXAMPLE $10 MORE THAN mATX]
Asus Z97-PRO is $188 -38 when purchased in combination with CPU

Thanks for all the lengthy responses. It is all appreciated. Seriously.

I am still looking at the Rosewill Capstone 450.
As for price, looking on pcpartpicker I see the 450 is at the lowest price in the last 180 days which is currently $10 less than the 550 which is at its lowest price in the last 180 days.
Currently I am led to believe the 450 is plenty fine for my purposes and thus the 550 at $10 more is just not necessary.

To keep the forum supervisors happy, I give thanks for the non-PSU info already provided, and will post elsewhere regarding those subjects.
