Way off topic; but if consoles had KB/M then we wouldn't have to worry abuot bad ports since games wuold have proper interfaces !

I have faith - you will. There were earlier deals I passed (esp the seasonic 660xp2 because the timing was off). I'm really hopeful there wil be something tomorrow. Right now I see my current options of:
    capstone 650-M $80
    tachylon 650 $109
    seasonic 660-xp2 $132
    seasonic ssr-650rm $99

I have an old FSP FX600-GLN I could pull from another system for a few weeks but really hate the idea of doing this as it will take hours to put back in; also it is not modular and has long cables so will be a pain to use even temporary in the elite 130.

actually the FSp might not work - I don't think it support 8 pin cpu cable. oh well would have to double check.

I've seen anally retentive spoiled brides pick out a venue quicker and easier than this.

Just buy something within your budget that has our community's blessing - you know that much by now.

well, he dithered this long...he might as well see what cyber Monday brings...
But he needs to pull the trigger when he sees a deal and not wait for it to sell out again...

The Azza 750/850 is better than the Tachyon and the SSR-650RM.

I didn't think I'd ever see you writing less than patiently, McNaughty.

143 posts is where I draw the line

Didn't mean to come off as offensive, though even if I did, it would've been justified, I suppose.

    You mean this one:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-003-_-Product

If so isn't it too long for the case; and lack modularity and this thread suggest it is not hte best psu:
    http://www.jonnyguru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8210

but maybe it is great; are you sure ?

Ok I started back in oct but I wasn't going to buy the mb/cpu till end of nov so I dither until i purchased the mb/cpu (in case I decided to not build the system) and I blindly assume that there would be at least one great psu for sale during black friday/monday. Ok maybe EVGA was that one but it wasn't really on my radar and I had been kind of hoping the seasonic 660 would go back on sale. I'll probalby go with either the seasonic or capstone on monday if nothing is on sale.

and sadly i tend to drag most purchases out too long - mostly because I plan too far in advance.

I linked the correct ones in my above post, just click the wattage numbers.

By the way, it's the same Super Flower platform used by Kingwin and Rosewill: for the same Tachyon price AMIR it has 100W more, flat modular cabling, a better fan, a selectable semi-passive operation, and AZZA units performed sligthly better than Rosewill ones in jonnyGURU.com and HardwareSecrets reviews.

Summarizing, if you think that 180mm PSU really fits, whether the EVGA G2s are out of stock, the only better unit is the Seasonic XP2, while the Rosewill Capstone M has a sizeable price advantage over that AZZA (the Seasonic G isn't better performing, but it's slightly cheaper, 20mm shorter, overally a tad noisier but from a very respectable manufacturer).
