No, not this one. It has 2 SATA connectors whereas mine made a big deal of having one And I think mine had punched grill. But don't remember it entirely as I got rid of it some 6 years ago.

Did such a unit exist? I can't believe it.
I really want to see it.
    Do you have any links?

Oh, Powmax! THAT'S the one that was really bad. I got them confused with Enermax recently, and a bunch of people told me they actually have good power supplies.

It's kind of unfortunate for the good maker that their names are so similar, I'm sure I'm not the first one to make that error.

This is the only one I could find:

There was one for the Powmax Assassin, but that was on the old website and never got ported over.

I found a review of the Powmax Demon, which a friend of mine got. I vaguely remember showing him this review back in 2006.

    http://www.slcentral.com/powmax-demon-580w-psu/

The page only loads intermittently, these days. Half the time it displays PHP errors, but if you refresh it enough it loads.

Yeah, that was a pretty bad one. Very few recent reviews tend to show up anything half as bad as what was common back then. They just don't make them like they used to.

FYI: You did notice who wrote that review, right?

It would be fun if you could get your hands on this psu and review it.

I would love to see how much it can take in the hotbox.
I would also like to see the build quality(Craptastic, i assume).
Apparently people keep buying this crap. It's a very popular psu here in Romania.

This could be the most overrated psu i've ever seen. I bet it's also a "gutless wonder".
We have the "best" psus here.

I'm willing to bet it's going to be this new LEPA platinum unit.. who picked this text for a PSU advert... seriously..

Intel i7-2600k with an XSPC Raystorm water block, 4x4GB Corsair Dominator, SLi Evga-GTX560Ti-448 FTWs, Asrock Extreme4 Gen3, Crucial M4 256GB SSD, Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB HDD, powered by a Silverstone Strider+ 850 PSU in a Silverstone TJ-07BW case.
I'm not buying EK GPU blocks ever again. (One GPU killed)

I was once the proud owner of a Soyo Raptor 400w PSU. It couldn't power a socket A system.

I remember using some JNC Computer PSUs back in the day and a KME 400W unit powering my last socket A system (XP 2400+ and Radeon 9550) that I replaced with an Enermax Liberty. And it was uphill from then on.
