    Default Battle of the Seasonics

Hey guys, need some help sorting between these power supplies:

    Seasonic G-550 ($125)
    Seasonic M12II 520W ($105)
Antec HCG-520M ($99) (Yes I know, but it's Seasonic rebadge)
    Seasonic S12II 520W ($95)

So is the M12II same as S12II, just modular?
And then Antec's just rebadged M12II?

And is the order of bestness in the order I listed, or does one stand out?

    Thanks guys,
    Alza

Yes and yes with minor modification.

And is the order of bestness in the order I listed
Yes, except that HCG-M is not necessarily better than S12II Bronze on caps choice, etc.

Both the M12II and HCG-M use entirely NCC caps IIRC.

Of the ones in that list, the G-550 is the best. Probably worth the extra few dollars as it's more efficient, has better voltage regulation and quieter.
No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the coils backwards

Does the G-550 beat these ones too?

    All cost about the same.

More or less it beats all of them electrically. Strider Gold is the closest, Antec is the furthest.

if you dont need modular and like to shave off the price a bit you could consider the seasonic s12g-550
