    Default What are these caps

I've got a 6yr old PSU on a system only used for 2 months, that was smelling a little rotty. Took it to pieces and it has MK primary caps and Fuhjyyu secondary

Primary are rated 85℃ 330µF 200V.. anyone heard of them ?
The only other reading on them is

    (M)P2
    CE85C
    Vent

    Good - bad, any experience .. ?
Might recap it if I want to remember some electronics after 20 years again.

    Thanks.

can't help with the caps, but unless this is a pretty low end system, why would you want to use such an old PSU with new components?

Post pics at badcaps.net. They will love you for it and offer real help.
If you have the time and the tooling/ability to solder, caps should cost no more than $10 to recap...If they can be had locally.
If you register over there please give the referral to Galvanized.

EDIT: badcaps is down ATM, Chris must be doing site up-dates.

I used to be a member of it back in early 2003. I don't recall my ID, password or email I used Yes last time I tried it was down. I realize how little it costs to recap and yes, it pretty easy to be done. Hands on always is

I'm not in my home nation but on business elsewhere and its a spare system in one of my residential places there. I don't have a cam with me here sorry, just phone cams.

Can possibly get some good shots with that in daylight though...

badcaps no longer accepts free email service for registrations, if you chose to reregister you might want to know this.
Topcat has started selling SamXon caps and they seem to be one of the better Chinese offerings and will be less expensive than RubyCon or UCC, excuse me if you already realize this.

My first post in your thread was not ment to insult your abilities or knowledge. After all I do not know you from Adam. Plus we do not know who will read and learn from what we post here, atleast that's the way this ignorant old man sees it. N-Joy!

    Yeah.

If you post the pics here, we won't love you for it. And we certainly can't offer any real help here.

If it's an [M] like that, I'd guess Panasonic.

actually the CE suggests panasonic also but really need a pic to identify properly. 330uf is for the trash though, whats it like a 250w or something?

Most here would not even consider heating up an iron let alone recapping an inexpensive PSU. THAT was my point about posting over at badcaps.
