Default Is this a decent PSU?

I came across one of these at work and put it in a random build using an AMD PII X6 and an 8800GTX...

Seems to run quite warm but works solidly even when the computer is under load.

But I'd be interested if this PSU is actually any good?

Anything that uses two PCBs probably isn't crap.

Silverstone power supplies are usually pretty solid aren't they? Can't recall too many negative reviews. I'm sure they have a stinker or two out there but they usually review pretty well as far as I know.

Decent, but noisy, especially with modern power saving mechanisms...

the Newegg reviews suggest it's a 2006-2008 era unit, pre 80+ but I have little doubt that when new it would pass 80+ standard, unlikely to hit bronze though.
Intel i7-2600k with an XSPC Raystorm water block, 4x4GB Corsair Dominator, SLi Evga-GTX560Ti-448 FTWs, Asrock Extreme4 Gen3, Crucial M4 256GB SSD, Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB HDD, powered by a Silverstone Strider+ 850 PSU in a Silverstone TJ-07BW case.
I'm not buying EK GPU blocks ever again. (One GPU killed)

Awesome, thanks. That restores my confidence in the sale of the machine.
