Was planing to write the same thing

Just a different model : Super Flower Golden Green SF-1000P14XE

At least efficiency, power rating and some fan pics at evga site leave that impression.

Someone seems to have learned a lesson or four...
Let's wait and see how well they mastered it.
Careful what you wish for... You just might get it.

10 years warranty - what for? I don't know any psu from 2003 I'd like to replace with a new one of the same type today.

I don't think they still have this one in 2023, you just get a new serie.

I have a PSU from 2003 when I built my P4 rig way back when. lol

It's an SPI, still works fine. I did re-cap it with some Teapo's of the same series/make 2 years ago as somewhat of a preventative measure as it's being used in a system I built for my Grandma on the cheap and I had the extra caps laying around.

I like how EVGA gives this new unit a 10 year warranty but released a new SKU of the 1500w without that warranty.

And how sure are you that EVGA is still around in 10 years and they don't change the warranty in the meantime?

Sorry, but this 1000 Years of Warranty is just bogus...
We had that before, remember the hard drives? There was a time where everything had at least 5 years of warranty. And now? Do you see entry level drives with 5 Years? I don't...
I expect the same with PSUs, it's just something some companies try to make some products sell better. but at what cost? Some turbine like PSUs we didn't even had 10 years ago??
