0402 package, 1mm x 0.5mm. Have fun with that
Not really that bad if you have a fine point iron (or two, for removing them) and some fine tipped tweezers.

He was dying when I found him. If you look closely, he's missing a leg
They're naturally pretty docile though. This is a nymph boxelder bug... an adult wouldn't have minded the camera much either. They don't bite, they just get curious and crawl all over the place.
That is just about the sharpest image that's come out of the camera yet. The bug took up only a small section in the center of the shot - the lens won't focus any closer. Doesn't hurt that I'm getting pretty good with the manual focus. Picked up a UV filter for the lens today for those days when I'm outside wandering around.

No nicknames for the Nikon yet? I would have thought you would have been calling it Nicki Imaj or something equally as silly by now.

Nice. Next on the agenda is a circular polarizing filter - that should help with some of my outdoor pictures a bit.
That's a bit of a difference right there
BTW bumped on a Photomatix software that uses three photos of the same object/landscape with different exposure levels, for ex:
You take these three photos:

... and you get something like this:
There are a bunch of useful filters and it allows very interesting results

Yeah, this camera has built in HDR. Haven't used it yet, but I'll get around to it.
