Cute. How did you get bricks sitting on top of carpet (or rug)?

You have an observatory near you? (Landscape #16)

Those are attached to the wall and have been since my folks got the house.

My little guest has been evicted. After five hours he got tired of hiding from me and just sat there nibbling packing peanuts. I was able to get him then.

Yes, there's an observatory just south of town... one of my favorite places to shoot lightning landscapes.

What kind of telescope? Who owns it? Interesting they chose a traditional round top design. To shield users from the wind, perhaps? Our astronomy club back in Syracuse used a roll-back roof, which gave us a semi-outdoors experience.

    Question for okw:
    http://www.adorama.com/INKD3100KRR.html
I totally forget about the whole camera thing. I'm ready to buy it now. It's still the best option for the price, right? I looked up some reviews mostly favorable. And specs wise it's good. Just wanna make sure there's no better deal. Oh, and which memory card is the best option? (looking at class 10, 32gb sd cards)

That's still about the cheapest way to get into a DSLR

You might want to go to this one now if you can afford the extra little bit though: http://www.adorama.com/INKD3200KR.html

You don't need 32GB if you go with the D3100. Even with the D3200 you'll have a hard time filling it up. Any decent class 10 card will do.

If I'm spending that much money on a camera I may as well have a 32GB memory card because it's not that much more expensive. I'll just use a random Class6 16GB MicroSDHC card that came out of one of my Android phones with SD sized adapter as my backup card. Just realized to get the free shipping from Amazon I need to spend more than $35. Two 32GB cards it is

Seems like the main difference is higher MP on the more expensive camera. Otherwise pretty much identical. I'm really having a hard time deciding whether to spend the extra money.

I'm mostly going to take pictures of store fronts (for web design clients) as well as power supply guts, my dog, and landscapes (fun)... what do you think??

OK, I'm just going to get the 3200.
