I couldn't say without one in hand or some very detailed photos of the bearing & internal structure.

Hopefully they didn't downgrade from a proper FDB, at least not to what Power Logic offers.

Tazz, if you ever got a Phototac, then get some form of a stand (I use a cheap tripod + clamp) to hold it in place. They are very sensitive to movement and don't favor unstable hands.
