Those certs are "copy" certs and not actual certifications. E.G. EVGA said "My unit X is the same as previously certified unit Y." The Classified SR-2 was their first unit at retail.

You really don't need to go higher than 16AWG because the pins inside of the connectors can't handle that much and are more likely to fail than the cable is at that point.
