No offense taken. This is what discussions are for. I said "most modern cases" because that is the case. There are still a few cases where the PSU is at the top, and draws its air from the main...

Nice. It makes sense.

Exactly. I have a $2 fan that works as well as any other sleeve bearing fan. The difference was the markup.

BTW -- do include whether your PSU is mounted with fan up or fan down. Makes a difference with...

If you have a 1200rpm Slip Stream, I think you might want to try it out. When I considered PSU's a sleeve bearing fan turned me right off. But you are opening this PSU, and I suspect you will look in...

Reading the review as a whole, I thought you went too easy on it. Maybe the individual points average out to 7.1, but it's not up to that, IMO.

The quality of your review allows me to have that...

Thanks. I was thinking about the 12v as well, with the PSU cleaning up the power input from the battery.

Then I remembered the thread about UPS's. In that thread, I asked if the computer/PSU...

Really? Where do they get the AC from? Wouldn't it be more straightforward to run the car PC's from the 8-12v power sources that are already there? I.e. -- the batteries?

How good a price is that? The reason I ask is that I tend to plan my builds more than a year in advance and start to look for PSU's and heatsinks with a build in mind. That way, when a bargain comes...
