I would highly recommend a Seasonic semi-passive or passive PSU like the new/old X-Series or Platinum. They are all great and the implementation of the semi passive mode is done really well.

Sanyo DBB > YL DBB,
Protechnic FDB > ADDA FDB etc.

These are my sentiments, too. For a mid Range PSU it's an alright choice, but for a very expensive top of the line product they could've chosen a high end fan, too.
