No, it's not bad, it's a fine unit for the price, better in some regards than XFX Core 550W or Corsair CX <600W (indy regulation), but not better than CS series. And obviously not better than XFX XTR.

SSR-360GP is hell a lot better unit. It offers superior voltage stability and efficiency compared to S12II. For 7 bucks more it's a total no-brainer.

XFX XTR is better alternative to Corsair RM series. It has higher quality fan and capacitors, being at least on par in other aspects.

And unless you go SLI or some dual-gpu card, 650W isn't needed.
