1. Have it meet Intel DSG 1.41/CEC compliance
2. Put it in a smaller size housing

Both of these will likely increase its cost.

The only cable with different pin-out between Type 3 and Type 4 is the 24-pin... and even then, the pinout is the same, there's just ADDED pins for sense wires.
