No, that's complete nonsense. That Seasonic is among the highest quality units and should serve for much longer than that without issue. They are just trying to BS their way out of paying what they...

This need not be true.

While above situation might be a tad extreme, I have seen PSUs which have higher than expected ripple at low loads, yet it barely increases as loads do.

DC-DC and FDB fan on their own are enough of a reason to conclude that E10 is clearly superior to Aurum S, esp. since they're both FSP.

Funny enough, older Aurums had Protechnic FDB fan...

It's not really "better" though, it only has Japanese caps. It's louder than BQ, and regulates voltages worse and has shorter warranty than CM. And non-modular (you probably won't be using all...

While it apparently does have 2 PCI-E connectors, Seasonic isn't really anything special anymore.

Pick Cooler Master if you want higher voltage stability (due to DC-DC conversion) and 5-year...

If you calculate using power consumption of individual components, you don't factor efficiency in. You factor it in when you take measurements from the wall. As such, 500+ W would be a rough, final...

Max fan RPM isn't even half of the story.

XFX XTR uses FDB fan, which makes less (little-to-none in general) bearing noise as opposed to Globe Fan BB (according to anandtech). I've heard them and...

In my case (i5 2320 + 2 sticks of DDR3 + HD7770 + SSD + HDD + 120 mm fan), it came up with 220W, which is way too much. More realistic figure would be 150-160W.

104W for G530 + 1 stick of DDR3 +...

I assumed 500W was actually measured figure.

This would be realistic for OC'd i5 K and 280x from the wall under heavy loads.
