Just having a power strip or a UPS with a ground pin doesn't mean you're grounded. You might as well just break off the ground pin with a pair of pliers (something I've done when in your situation)....

OTP is good to have in the event of a fan failure. If the fan dies and the PSU overheats, it shuts down if it has OTP. If there's no OTP and the fan fails, then eventually the whole PSU fails.

Umm... no. The e-caps on the secondary in the RM1000 are mostly Taicon. The two blue ones are Matsuki.
