AMD Ryzen, eventually better than Piledriver/Bulldozer/Vishera!

so far AMD did good, comparing the new models to the FX models. Nobody wants hot VRMS and hot cpus. I wish my AM3+ mainboards had a decent small Temperature monitor app(only for showing VRM+CPU+NorthBridge Temp and alarming when certain limits are reached) but it came with EasyTune app which i didnt like from the begining and i found it useless and unstable(even after BIOS update).
I didnt understand the purpose of the FX 8xxx and FX 9xxx. AMD made some money but lost time developing those chips, as "everybody" cried that FX8xxx and 9xxx were very power hungry and had low performance.
The new 65W TDP amd chips sounds really good.
Have any of you experienced a real performance boost because of the TurboBoost option? i am talking about FX chips, i am not talking about overclocking, i am talking about the option they defined as to be = "AMD Turbo Core technology is a performance-boosting technology that helps increase performance on the applications".
Have any of you gentlemen acknowledge any performance boost? If yes, how much?

Has AMD mentioned anything more about Ryzen 3 chips or their Ryzen APUs? Actually, have they even talked about their Ryzen APUs?

The only thing that AMD has said about Ryzen 3 is that they launch the second half this year, all other things are just rumors. Raven Ridge APU's should also launch in H2 2017, but according to this slides that's only true for the mobile parts.

So if I want to build a mITX SFF rig with Raven Ridge APUs, then I need to wait until next year? Eeesh, that's a pretty long wait.

If the slides are real then yes for the desktop parts. But using mobile parts for a mITX motherboard is also possible of course. That is something a manufacturer like Asrock could do.

Well, Ryzen 5 tests are out and... it's another Ryzen 7, both good and bad.

Well, the results on TechPowerUp seem to show that if you are in for a new system and are doing any reasonable level of productivity, you should be looking at ryzen 5 over intel's offerings at the same price point and only if you exclusively game, look at intel.
