EVGA 450 BT?

There seem to be another series that EVGA had release in the low-end segment being sold on Amazon but is not listed on their site.

Does anyone know anything about it other than it most likely group-regulated, has a sleeved bearing fan, and is rated for 30C?

It says it has 2 PCI-E connectors.

Not if they're using 16g wire.

Good price not mean good quality but in price range of new bronze it acceptable

It's a good way to save costs for a lower end 450W PSU. Much better then just use give it one PEG connector.

Yuck. Definitely group regulated. 30C? A lot of companies got flak for that temp rating. What does it degrade to at higher temperatures? 100w @50C? At least this model will help get rid of some of the shady models hopefully.

Corsair and SeaSonic are clearly just riding their reputation while EVGA brings high quality and innovative product. EVGA FTW!

Price wise, it's competing against the lowest of the low. So just having a rated efficiency from a manufacturer who hasn't been shown to blatantly lie, at that price point, is pretty impressive.

The 30C rating may not be for output power but efficiency concerns.

This is certainly "innovative" if you consider the price point they are hitting and what the competition is. The question still remains though; is EVGA's business model sustainable. Especially with these longer warranties.

No. It's output capability. Nobody (80 PLUS) cares what the efficiency is at higher temperatures. They're only testing at 23°C +/- 5°C. Customers can't/won't test their full load efficiency.

My guess is this PSU can do 350~400W at 50°C.
