Power Strip

I'm looking to buy a power strip. Needs to split into 6 sockets. The overall consumption of these devices will be low. Consisting of:

1) 135W PC about
2) Nintendo Wii
3) Xbox One
4) Laptop charging
5) LG TV, small television, not much power
6) Anything else, phone charging

I don't want some piece of junk. If all power strips are pieces of junk, then I want the least junky one. I'd be willing to spend a good amount for one, even $50 or more. Just found this https://www.amazon.com/P3-P4330-Kill.../dp/B004OG94VW

Oh, wow. I didn't even know that existed. Pretty cool.

Pretty much you know junk vs. non-junk by the Joules rating.

Imo, spending 50 bucks on a power strip is a bit overkill for me.

I usually get the ones at the local canadian tire, they are something similar to this: http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/ma...7261p.html#srp

Simply because IMO, unless you're living somewhere with frequent power surges, or big lightning storms that occur every week, provided it is built well it should be fine.

When I lived in Florida, I would fry a power strip a week! :D

Well, some people fry bacon strips instead, but to each their own :p

Damn did you have someone backfeeding the grid with higher voltage when testing out some heavy duty motors? lol

Maybe not every week... but every month. Especially during hurricane season.

Lightning capital of the world!

And when the grid goes down because of a storm, you better make sure everything is shut off for when the power comes back on. In rush burned the house across the street down after hurricane Frances in 2004.

mmmm.... Someone has a nice big motor/transformer in their house.

Ah.. No. Afraid not.

And, get this.. After the insurance claim came in, they hired a contractor to rebuild the house. The contractor took all the money and disappeared.

Even today, it's still just a vacant lot. :(

I grabbed the Amazon one for $10. I've always been satisfied with Amazon Basics products.
