Umm... Point?
Is that internal? First off, 1200W in that size PSU WITH all of the plumbing, etc?
Second, it's cooled by a 120MM fan on the radiator anyways. So what will this accomplish? Quieter? Perhaps. Run cooler? Again... point? You're not going to overclock a PSU.
Or maybe that's how they got 1200W out of it. It's a 700W but because the water can keep the PSU operating temperature at 25C, they were able to squeeze another 500W out of it! :)
I'm going to have to see what this thing can really do.... Koolance! Review sample over here, please. ;)

I do think water cooled desktop PSUs are an answer to a question that was not asked. Bragging rights for sure!
Yes, I looked / read the link over.
Units like the heat piped Zalman have a real place in silent computing, imho.
Spectre, this thread may be of interest. http://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1723
Note tiresias' link to the water cooled, 90% efficient SMPS on the top of page 3. :p

Bragging rights, yes.
I'm for the idea. But with that big honking 120MM mounted on the rad on the outside of the case... point? Put a smaller rad inside the housing, blow a slow 80 over it and don't try for 1200W. Something more realistic like 800W. Come on guys! :D

A touch over $30 ;)
Actually it's over $500 so it's in the PCP&C 1KWSR price range although it'll likely be quieter with the 120mm rad.

Any new info on this?
Any takers on the OEM?
The Korean website has more photos including an installation how-to:

Yeah well its only rated at 40C which at over 1000W I think it'll top and APFC at 90% isn't exactly too good. Although with liquid cooling all the components will be cool, when you can get good air cooling why did they resort to a fan plus watercooling? Without the liquid cooling, like most air cooled PSUs I think it most likely topped all decent level of temps with 30% efficiency at 700W, so they resorted to this extreme and dangerous cooling method. What happens if you get a leak? With all that power throwing out won't it just blow your system away with 1200W?
Koolance dropped their prices 2 months back quite a lot, which may show you something too. Their next model is to be a phased cooled 2500W PSU AFAIK.
Anyway, theres a guy who built himself a 1.5KW PSU liquid cooled a year back from Germany on one of the OC forums.. the idea isn't new.

IMO, it's built by Topower.

I thought Topower too at first, but the cabling and heatsinks don't really seem like one of theirs. The specs lead me more in the direction of Enhance or Channel Well. Hard to pin it down until I see pics with the cover off ;)

I was thinking Enhance or Channelwell as well.
Had the same impression about the connectors and cables not being very "Topower-ish."

It's the modular connectors that make me lean towards Topower, especially with the blue PCI-E female connectors on the PSU itself. I haven't really seen any Enhance design with color coding like that. It makes you wonder though; if the water cooling is so effecient, why do they need internal heatsinks of that size?

I've seen Sirtecs with those connectors before... wonder if they're trying for 1200W.

Upon second thought, this really might be one to watch. It is stated a max of 33dBA from the fan, really don't know if that is do-able at full output with 40C ambients. Even at 80+% efficientcy that's 160~200W of waste heat.
Hold on! The specs say 33dBA and 107cfm, that's a big fib. I run some Sanyo Denki 120X38, 103cfm@39dBA and they are the best 120mm > 100cfm fans to be had, so if their 120X25 puts out 107cfm it's doing it at 45dBA or so.
The coolent, probably 90% water, will have a high thermal mass and be able to hold alot of heat during bursts of high output, then dissipate that heat as the unit falls back to moderate loads.
This unit is filled with coolent , so that means a considerable volume. I like this. I don't want one but do like it. Can hardly wait to see under the hood. I bet the coolent discharge inside the PSU is manifolded inorder to direct the coolent. It would be stupid not to.
I bet at 600W output it is near silent with 25C ambients, too bad it only has a two year warrenty.
It has my gear-headed interest.

Actually it does look to be a Channel well based off of the same design as the Thermaltake 1200w minus the new 8-pin PCI-E 2.0 connectors just compare the specs.
