So I've seen this psu at Directron for a bit and the UL number says it's an FSP with active PFC ...for $49. I'm suspecting it's the same unit as those perky little Zalman 460's but not positive.
Anybody tried these?
http://www.directron.com/ipp460q32.html

I'm finalizing the build for my PIC(partner in crime) and some of the hardware produces some pretty substanial heat...the Neo550 which is currently in there only has that puny little 80mm fan. The larger fan in this InWin would move more air out of the case.
Here's the rest of the hardware in her new rig...

X2 4000 w/ 1 MB cache X2
Asus M2N-E
Zalman 9500
Gigabyte 7600GS w/passive cooling
2 GB Patriot mem
Seagate Series 10 250 GB hdd(primary)
Samsung 160 GB hdd(backups)
NEC 3550
LG DVD/CDRW Combo
Floppy
All that in a Silverstone TJ05 case with 2 - 120mm fans

The chipset on the mobo, the passive cooling on the graphics card, that Seagate hdd....all have reps for running hot.
Reliability is a top consideration since it'll be her business system.

Any suggs appreciated!

An InWin built by FSP is a safe bet.

An InWin built by InWin is not. ;)

No doubt, if the UL is FSP, it's an FSP. But I can't say I have any experience with it or if it's the same chassis as the Zalman.

Thanks for the reply Jonny
If it is an FSP unit, would you put it in a rig with the hardware I listed above?
Thanks again!

E193791 is the number showing at NewEgg's listing

The Directron pics have Inwin's UL file number on them :(

That's not good. :(

That and the unit has an IP part number instead of an FSP part number. That caught my attention.

Newegg has been wrong before. ;)

Enhance ENP 400W 80+ would work well for you. Jonny did a review also.

I'll go to those Enhance models then...5150 more than likely

Yeah.. Best to go something we all know is good, rather than guess. ;)

If your determined to get more then you need, then get the 460W version, not 500W.

I can't build a rig without a bit of headroom particularly when it's somebody that lives in the same house.

Who said the 400W version didn't have headroom?
