Hello everyone.......
I'm having some serious issues trying to get connectivity online with my new build ( A8N Deluxe) using the nv and marvell ports, I can't connect with either one.
Reinstalled chipset drivers, reset router/modem,created new connection...still back where I started. All I'm getting is that windows can't renew my ip.

Just a thought - does the router have MAC address filtering enabled? If so, add yours to the approved address list. That problem got me once.

Did you install the nVidia firewall? If so that could be the issue. I did a build for a guy that I had that problem until I unistalled the stupid nV firewall. Just a thought.

Disable all firewalls or security suites. After you install the drives update them, through another computer (make a CD).

I'm not running nv's firewall, it's a clean install with the marvell drivers, but the nv lan refuses to connect as well. It's always "operation failed renewing the ip address..
Any thoughts appreciated, thank you

Tell us more about your router.
Set up for DHCP? Cycle the power on it?

It's a real basic dlink DI-604, I don't haveit set up funky or anything else.
I've tried cycling the power on the modem as well as the router, and I still have the same effect. Changed cat 5, no change. Went to running straight to the modem........still a no go.
Also, as soon as I click on IE, it tells me "no connection to the internet is available....hope that helps you out a bit more.
Thank you

Are you using DSL or Cable? Are you trying to bridge the connections? If your using internet connection shareing,it wont work. You might want to try updating the firmware on it. I still have that model as a back up for my DI-524
I had the same problem, that router uses 2002 firmware.
I did the firmware update on my DI-524,then I could not connect.
I use Bellsouth, and they told me when you upgrade the firmware on the router
it changes the internal password in the modem that your ISP gave you to default. I called them up to change it,now everything is smooth!
My DI-524 is the same thing but wireless with super G.
This is my old DI-6O4

That's the router, been using for it for quite some time now, and there is no firmware upgrade( i have the latest). Also running cable.
I'm not trying to bridge.
I have the lappy running off this router as well, with no issues, it's just my rig that won't find it's way to the net.
