Long in the tooth. ;)
Still good for a 500W PSU that can potentially do 600W in a cold environment, but they're not as efficient as today's units and rather loud at times.

Very well built, really old and inefficient design. I'd take one for free, but probably wouldn't pay for one knowing I could find something just as well built with better efficiency (like the Silverstone ST56ZF).

Not to mention getting a true 750W to 800W unit for the same money.

yes I saw one going cheapish, s/h,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=160072326717&rd=1&rd=1
and was a little tempted, spent a bit much on the etasis and zippy, and don't really need them so am looking for a cheaper replacement.
the etasis may be worth hanging onto tho'.
Pity its so darn hard to access internally if anything blew up, I took the top off, took the plastic covering off noting carefully the orientation, had a look at how it was held together, and gave up pronto and returned it to whence it came. It looked a bit of a fiddle.
this pcp one is indeed the even longer in the tooth atx one, so won't be of any use.
thanks for replies...:)
