GTX 580 Asus DirectCU II Vs Gigabyte Windforce 3X

I will buy a new graphics cards and it will be GTX 580.

But i cannot decide between gigabyte winforce 3x (not the overclocked one) and asus directcu

Which one is quieter? Most important criteria for me is the noise...

Why you don't consider MSI's Lightning ($520) or Lightning Extreme ($600 but 3GB VRAM)?

Twin Frozr III seems to be the best custom cooler at the moment.

Both solutions are rather silent at stock speeds.. the Asus has a better construction and a better VRM but it takes three slots, the Gigabyte on the other hand takes only two.
If price is identical and space is not an issue go with the Asus.
