hi all.
I recently put together a new gaming rig. I bought an i5 2400 3.1GHz, however, CPUZ and the BIOS report the core speed @1596.1MHz. is this b/c its idle, or is there something wrong? (no overclocking involved).

also the ram frequency is reported by cpuz @665.1MHz, shouldn't it be 1333MHz?

thanks

my specs:
asus p8h61-m pro
intel i5 2400
2x2GB 1333MHZ DDR3 Corsair
575W thermaltake toughpower
EVGA GTX460 1GB SC

Yes it's a power saving feature.. you can disable it in BIOS if it bothers you though..

If it were SDR RAM maybe!?;).. but since it's DDR RAM, as in Double Data Rate, it's exactly as it should be, and it has been that way since late Cretacic..
