Can't believe these are going retail. How were they to work with, Jonny? Do you have a guess on the price? _ReeL

They're HUGE, so working with them is very easy.

Is it real carbon fiber? What'$ retail?

I'm happy to see that Ultra decided to release it retail although I'm sure that there will be differences between the prototypical cases and the retail such as the billet and cast drive cages.

Bet it's pricey. Most anything is when CF is involved. Be surprised if less than four bills takes it home. _ReeL
stupid question maybe, but whats the point? i know its supposed to be lighter, but i can't imagine something like that made from carbonfibre to be worth the cost.

Racing / aircraft grade carbon fiber would be expensive but CF just knocked out for looks would be pretty cheap to do.
What is it? Just carbon strands in an epoxy that sets-up under pressure. Meh!
Sure would look good to a gear-head like me.

Actually the prototypes are hand laid carbon fiber cloth. They're not put under pressure.

I do know a thing or three about carbon fiber. There would be light year$ between body panels or structural members for an Italian exotic and flat panels for a comp case. :D
I bet the CF that gets used for a case would be damn near as cheap as using aluminum.
I like the textured surface of this case.

Well, I know a thing or three about the cost of those prototype cases and they were far from cheap ;)
