Finally got a 939 board coming in, it's an MS-7050, ATI Express 200 board micro-ATX board. For now, I'm just going to make sure it works, but some time over the summer, I'm probably going to set it up as a DVR. As-is, I have an X2 3800+, 2GB of G.Skill Black, a WD 320GB hard drive, and that's about it.

Any suggestions on a relatively inexpensive case, and a tuner/capture card? I kind of like nMediaPC cases because they allow a standard ATX PSU, but I'm not beholden to anything specific.

The other thing I should add, is that I am considering running it as a Linux Mint system, with MythTV, so a tuner would need Linux compatibility.

Nobody has any experience with MythTV?

Why not ask in their forums :

There are a few entries that can help.

For the case, only you can decide but I like this one :

I could point you towards the SilverStone FT03 for a case? Something by your TV should have style friend.

While it looks great, I have two problems with it. 1. It's a tower. I'm wanting more of a media center/desktop style case. Yeah, cooling isn't as good, but aesthetically, it's what I'm going for. 2. The price. I didn't spend anywhere near that much for even my main system's case, which is a Lian-Li full tower (which I got for $52 @ Best Buy).

One I've been giving some consideration is the Antec NSK2480 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129034), which includes a decent PSU (which I will be needing to get for this system anyway), and isn't drastically expensive. It's not quite the media center unit I'm necessarily looking for, but it's decent. I kind of like this nMediaPC (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811204040) case, but I'm a little worried about the height, since it's a low-profile case. I'll measure the height tomorrow, with the heatsink (I'll be using my 4-pipe AMD OEM heatsink), and see if it would even fit in that case.

I'll check out their forums. And I like the look of that case. Alright, that case in on my list of potentials. My only gripe with that case is the lack of a flash card reader (and no space to put one in).

The Cooler Master 360 Case can be a tower or desk top, $40 shipped from Amazon, and is listed full ATX.
Foxconn has a Black mATX HTPC case $65.10 shipped (may include 300 watt PSU) if that is a recommendation.
Silverstone Sugo SG02- B or W-F (black or white) micro ATX $75 Shipped.
I think I would go with one of newegg's Lian Li PC-K58 $65 shipped or Cooler Master Centurion 5 or Sentey case.
The (small) ones I like are too expensive..
