He says the 8800GTX uses 30A to run...what? It requires a PSU with 30A on the 12V rail, yes but doesn't use it all...that's shared with drives, the CPU and the mobo.

As I discovered when trying to do doing the math...badly as it turns out (*cough*jonny beat me*cough*)......to what? Even a dedicated 20amp with a NEMA 5-20p outlet still can't feed it the amount of power needed on a continuous basis. You would be looking at a NEMA L5-30 but that locking pair outlet won't work with a typical PSU cable......and the adapters out there......well aren't probably the best idea.

My hobbie might not last long with GPU's that take 30A{60A SLI}to run:p
Not including the 2kw PSU that I would need to have my house re-wired for;)

Same as the X-Pro 600W Matt reviewed. Same build quality too, I might add.
