upgrades are a comin' thick and fast,
I was going to plump for an antec p180, due to all the mega reviews, but a few cautions have led me to reject this, mainly due to being a more difficult build, and poss. problems with psu lead length.
After jonnys endorsement of the akasa eclipse, and finding out its very reasonably priced, and huge, too, coupled with some great reviews, I think I will be going after that, but b4 I do...
any other recommendations please? I am stretching even for that ( cos I stupidly bought 2 psu's when I only needed one), so no dearer really....but around $170, is the conversion.
(My current one is an Icute gaming one, here
http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/91831
that had 90 odd mega buyers ratings, however its really a piece of poo....I have been hassled by it ever since I bought it, never happy with it..., and yes that's the one where the psu leads don't even reach)

If I could buy an Akasa Eclipse 62 here State-Side...I would!
All aluminum panels are removable, leaving a free-standing aluminum frame.
Side out stainless MB tray! 120s front & rear! A HDD cage that can be fitted
below the PSU! So what if it looks boring...It will age very well indeed. ;)
So what features you exactly want?
Big case with lot of space for easy installation of components? Smaller case?
Enough space for long graphic cards?
If big and spacious case I would suggest checking CM Stacker, it'is very hard to beat in price vs features ratio. (you can also put that second PSU into use)

yes, big case for ease of installation, etc. will have a look at the stacker, may be too dear...had a peak, I thought it may be the posh 830 one, its not, so it may be affordable...

I had a version of that case by PC Toys. The cooling is shit, you'd think that with all those fans it'd be great but noooOOOOOOoo. The drive bays are toolless and the mobo tray swings out rather than pulls out. The bad thing about the mobo tray is that the standoffs are permanently affixed and if they're in the wrong place, tough. I had to knock one out to get the board I was using at the time to mount in it. Sucks IMHO.

(RC-810 has only lower PSU position)
IMO 830 models don't even deserve Stacker name, internal design is more cramped and there's only 9 5.25" bays.
STC-T01 is even one of the cheapest big cases.

Hello, first post here. Why not the Globalwin YCC-61F1 instead? Looks to be the same as the '62. I've got one in the back room and can't tell any difference except the web pic is beige and mine is black. Guess both are still offered. I bought mine in 2003 but found a deal on a Lian Li so it's been sitting around a bit. Just a thought.

Yes Sir! That is what I'll get if an Akasa can't be had. jonny uses a 66, it has a door.
The Akasa only comes in black, has the optional HDD cage, has no side window and has a better overall finish than thier OEM, YCC.
The YCC side panel window is all acrylic, there is no aluminum surround.
Gary Stofer of sidewinder computers has my email on file and as soon as he has 50 wanting this case, a large order will be placed for the Eclipse 62s.
Overcool has been out of stock on the Eclipse for over 8 months.
I do realize the front bezel is plastic on the YCC cases ;) Computer Nerds (?) has the YCC-61 for $99.
I have two modded Lian Li PC-60 cases here and like them very much.

Correction: The Globalwin is acrylic with no aluminum surround. YCC is the OEM and has the side window with or without acrylic and does have the acrylic inside an aluminum frame.
Also, the YCC, GlobalWin and Akasa all have a plastic bezel.
