Is this to be seen as a bonus/extra or does this represent a deficiency in a PSU? I have no clue, but I suspect the former. Hope that's not a dumb question. :-/
Thanks in advance.

The Earth ground is screwed to the inside of the PSU housing. All of your ground wires lead back to the PSU housing, so you're grounded.
Of course, more grounds are always better. I learned in car audio, you want your grounds to be shorter or a heavier gage wire. :D

Thanks!
I bought some better coax for my TV today (got channels 2-5 back :D) and it had a ground wire running along side it. That had me thinking about a Tagan I have that has a ground wire, so I decided to ask about it. Hell, I even have and IDE cable here at the house that has a ground wire dangling on it!
