hi everyone.
i want to set up a website and get a sunmoon load tester (or equiv).
building my own loader isnt an option. i am leaning towards the sm-268 at ive heard (read) its the cheapest...but anyhow, any good sites i can look at for prices. and there arent any one ebay either :(.
so please help me find it cheap.
also what will i need besides the load tester? the oscilloscope? can i use my kill-a-watt to measure efficency? thanks!:)

Load testers aren't exactly laying around for purchase. It's a highly specialized item. They're usually only used within the industry and you can usually only buy them direct from the manufacturer. If you happen to know a power supply company that's going out of business, then you can probably get one "cheap".

The SunMoon SM-268 can be found here: http://www.sunmoonate.com/
The SunMoon SM-8800 can be found here: http://www.sunmoontec.com/
TechRed is here: http://www.techred.com/_en_index.htm
FastAuto is here: http://www.fastauto.com.tw/

Save up for something better than the Kill-A-Watt, it will save you headaches in the future.

I've looked into this myself. From what I can tell the bare minimum needed to barely scrape by would cost at least ~$3500, plus spare parts and a safety margin in case you need to return something. A decent setup will cost about $5000 - $10,000 or even more.
