A quote from jonny's review (http://www.jonnyguru.com/PSU/AsusAtlas550W/):
Overall, this is a fantastic power supply. It's efficient, it's quiet, it has active PFC, the rails are very solid and it puts out all the juice the label claims it can put out. And hey... you've got to love the subtle blue glow.

Only one PCIe connector and 30A 12V... wouldn't recommend at least for heavier gaming PC.

First, I'd recommend stepping away from systemax: Read [H] consumer for details.

Second, it comes with a 600w ultra x-finity. That's more than plenty.

The PSU that in that build is better than the Asus.

If you want an upgrade, come see me next week and I'll have an 800W I can give you. :)

Ouch! Smoke? Damn!

A pair of X1950's is too much for a 500W, so that's why it's rebooting.

I think I have that extra PSU for you now. Give that a shot and see if it works well.

Do you think anything was damaged ? CPU? Memory? etc etc?

You'll know when you plug another PSU that's adequate enough to handle the load. :D

I run a comparable set, only Amd/Opti185, and can`t get it stable @ CCC unlocked stock-speeds with a ST60F.
Have tried to re-arange wiring over the rails, but no luck.:wall:

600 seems to be on the edge. Good luck with the 800.

(Going for a OP1000, and adding 4X raptors, so don`t expect to run into trouble)
