Topower is a name we haven't looked at in a while. You may remember the name from back in the OCZ Powerstream days, when Topower was selected as the OEM for those units. Today, I'm looking at one of Topower's latest offerings in the KC-750. Let's see how it does.

Thanks!

I thought the score was maybe a bit generous for once, but that is some good regulation. The lack of good cable anchoring makes me nervous.

I always thought it was Toe-power. Don't they have very wide distribution? Is this one of those units that might turn up in out-of-the-way places like Oman and Chile?

I think it's fair - the thing had better than 0.25% regulation on the 5V rail and way better than 1% on the others. Except in crossloading, and it's a group design, so that can be expected.

What's with the little two-step going on in the +5V scope shots during tests 4 and 5?

It must have been listening to my Zune too.

You thought wrong. It's "top-ou-er".

Yes. Topower has VERY wide distribution. Something to be envious of when you're in the industry clawing for any kind of market presence. I don't know about Oman, but Topower is distributed by HTM in Chile.

...the Topower KC series is engineered using advanced technology and high quality components typically needed for high-end server systems.

Like the Panasonic knock-off Hermei's?

I like the adorable little "medical standards" heart there. Don't know how much I would trust my life to this unit though. Maybe for a short while.

The fan from head on. I must say it seems a bit strange to see a 120mm fan these days when most everyone else has gone to 135-140mm models for units like this.

Dare to be different ;)

Topower is still alive?!

But that this unit isn't able to reach 80+ bronze levels is a bit disapointing...

Toshin Kogyo is also a major player in textile printing.

With the shipment of the 50th DuPont Artistri 2020 fully integrated, production capable, on-demand digital textile printer, DuPont and ToshinKogyo, Ltd. are redefining the textile printing market.

The Artistri 2020 enables sample, strike-off and short-run digital production printing of fabrics up to 1.8 meters wide. Additionally, the Artistri 2020 sets a new industry standard for print speed, offering several print modes with speeds exceeding 50 square meters (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/square+meter) per hour to allow fast production of digital designs.

This was accomplished quite a few years ago....2004.

The secondary heatsink. 12V is done with two FB3206 parts and two SBR60A60CT's. 5V is done with two SBR40U45CT's, while the 3.3V gets two SBR30U30CT's. An SB860 rounds out the parts on this heatsink.

I can't see the markings on the components. What are them respectively, from the left to the right?

The article lists them in order.

This would be a winner if they get the retail price down to $85 or so. More than that however, and it's not worth it. Too many other good 750W units in the same price range, as well as lower-wattage but better-performing units like the 650W TPN.
