I don't see the non-latching connectors on the PSU for the drive pigtails being mentioned as a negative. May want to edit that. I wouldn't want a string of my SCSI drives to drop out in the middle of a conversation...

They, like manby other "non-latching" connectors on modular power supplies I've used are a very, very tight fit. They're not falling out even if I ship the PC half way across the country. Seriously. :D Don't knock it till you try it. :D

Yes, tight. I've plugged in many an IEC power cord into PSUs that seemed "nice and tight" only to find out shortly that they were hardly plugged in at all. Same can happen with molex drive connectors which are basically what those are on the case..
IAC, I don't use or recommend modular PSUs. At least partly because not many use a fully latching set of connectors on the PSU case end.

I appreciate your opinion.
I can pick the PSU up by the cables, so in my opinion they're in snug enough for a good electrical connection. On the flip side of that, I have had "latching" connectors "click" into place, but not have a good metal to metal, pin to pin connection. To me, it's a take it or leave it thing as long as I know the connector is insterted securely.

I use non-latching cables and have no problems with them, and I even take my computer to LANs frequently where it bumps around in my car along the way. If anything they're a positive :)
