I closed the other thread because it got a little off topic.

I'll probably close this one after the weekend and sticky it. :D

So every morning, I get up and I do "my rounds" around the web, checking out all of the forums I'm a member of and reading as many of the posts there as possible. I'll do all of this again in the evening after I put my daughter to bed. For the last two weeks, as this site becomes more and more popular, I've found that I have more PM's at the other sites than I have posts at this site.

Typically, I'll get a PM where someone asks what kind of power supply they should get... which isn't really all that unusual... and then they say, "I'm too lazy to sign up for your forums lol so I'm asking you here at XS, OCForums, [H], Anand, Extreme, etc."

Now, this isn't some ploy to get more people to sign up here. I simply don't have time to go around to a dozen forums answering a half a dozen PM's each. What once took me half an hour now takes me two hours. Maybe I'm the one being lazy, but I simply don't have time for this. I'm simpy going to stop responding to the PM's at these other forums, effective immediately.

So I encourage you, if you have a question, please sign up. And if you sign up, don't just drop me a PM with your question. Please post your question in the appropriate forum. We've got a dozen guys (and gals) here that are very competent whose opinion I trust very much. It would be a shame not to use those resources! :D

Thanks for taking the time to read this and my apologies to anyone that might feel slighted by this. I really need to manage my time wisely andthis is just one way I've chosen to do this.

Might sound mean but just dont reply to them. Eventually they'll ask publicly if they want a answer bad enough. I and others been trying to get the word out on other forums to post here and not do a pm to you. Your popularity is growing and so too will your emails and PMs. :D

When I "did the rounds" this morning, I disabled Private Messaging at all of the forums I participate in.

You might consider putting a sentence in your sig explaining the time constraints you're under and invite them to post here. That would prevent hurt feelings. ;) We are sensitive you know, particularly the young ones :p

Well, I just "turned off" private messaging at all of those other forums altogether.

I think if someone really wants to get a hold of me, they know where to find me. :D
