Hello,

I have been looking a several psus and need help on getting a new one that can run the following pc:

AMD PII X3 720 unlocked to an X4 @ 3.4ghz 1.425v
2 x 2GB DDR3 (4GB)
1 HD 640GB 7200rpm
2 x HD 4850 crossfire @ 700c / 1050m
5 led case fans
1 DVD RW
1 Floppy (people keep bringing me drivers and crap for it lol)

I will be adding a 2nd HD soon and just added a 2nd HD 4850 but my craptastic Raidmax 530w shuts down during 3d load.

What Im looking for is:

1. Under $110 or as close as possible
2. Modular if possible @ price
3. Somewhat future proof
4. I really dont want to run right at the limit
5. Prefer newegg.com but any will do.

Heres a few I was looking at but if there is better options, please let me know, and why:

Antec TruePower New TP-750 750W

I'd go for the Antec or the Corsair, and probably in that order. (The TP-650 is also an option if you can't find the 750W model under $110...)

I agree. I consider the TP-750 to be one of the top picks in the 55-64 amp range.

I appreciate the quick replies! There is just so many choices, it is hard to figure which one to go with. Looks like the Antec will have more than enough juice and hopefully will last a long time. It looks like the Antec is the winner so far!

EDIT: I might even look at the 650w model as that might be the sweet spot. Ill have to look for some reviews first on it to make sure it is as good as the 750w.

The 650W model is more expensive than the 750W model, so don't even bother. Just go with the 750W.

I've been doing some work in this area, and the list isn't yet complete, but you are welcome to have a look:

Everything is subject to change, especially the range we are discussing, but that's where it's at right now. This is a database being assembled by several volunteers.

Zero82z - Well Ive found the TP-650w model for $105, but not a newegg. Still unsure of which Ill end up with. Will know when I get paid, lol!

Proximon - Nice spreadsheet! Easy to read and gives you most of what you need to know. GJ!
