Looks like HEC has dialed up a real loser for Thermaltake to overprice.

I guess Thermaltake just isn't satisfied without selling at least some junk.

Thermaltake TR2 RX 750 W is, according to our methodology, a flawed product that must be avoided at all costs. It can’t deliver its labeled wattage at high temperatures, but this is not the worst of it: ripple and noise level are way above the maximum allowed when you pull 80% or more from the unit’s labeled capacity

$100 for a unit that can't reach 600W while staying in spec...

I'm just curious why almost every HEC sample has ripple/noise problem. Is it lack of filtering, board layout problem, or simply EMI issue?

TT and CM both. If they would just learn from Corsair they could do much better.

What's even stranger is that it seems HEC is more than capable of building a proper power supply as seen by the Cougar review of last week. Instead, HEC insists upon foisting crap onto the N. American market....and even using the Cougar name on some of the junk, too.

Guess HEC is more interested in pure profit over quality here in N. America and putting themselves into the CoolMax/Deer/Diablotek arena.....junk status.

Funny thing is even deer (http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/558) can build a decent unit.
