I've got an ac water pump. Currently, it gets juice from the contacts of the switch on the power supply. I just soldered the pump power cord to the terminals on the switch. Then, I drilled a little hole in the psu case and ran the insulated wire down to the pump. You can see it coming out the back of the psu, on the corner closest to the camera.

Anyway, that was a (relatively) cheap old cooler master rs450alcy, and I had no qualms about voiding the warranty, drilling holes in it and dripping solder all over it.

Well, now I got this hx-520 on the way, and I'd like to keep the 5 year warranty in place for something longer than three days.

What's a different, good way of getting mains juice into the box?

Hi;

This is what I use. There are other manufacturers of these. It sets in a pci slot, and will pass mains voltage through while using internal switching for on/off. Has worked for three years.
