I've heard of lesser PSUs being able to take it (700w GameStream specifically), so seeing the higher watt rating and knowing the quality of this PSU (which I bought as assurance that I could continue to run dual videocards), could it handle dual 8800GTXs or similar? See [Gaming and Folding] rig in sig.

If you know for sure that SLI'ed 8800GTX's will run on a GXS, why are you
worried about your TC:confused:
I for one can't see the comparison:p

Because that is what I have heard, as in rumors :) I wanted to ask the experts...

Well, I'm no expert, but me thinks you'll be fine with that TC;)

Well now I read that people are using the 750w PCP&C, so I think my 850w PCP&C will be just fine. YAY! (Not that I can get GTX SLI now, just that I can use videocards that suck down that much power)

You'll be fine, but you want to run 2x8800GTX SLI on Opteron 170? Why do you want to waste your money?
