A cut paste of my FS thread on OCF. I'm liting it a bit higher at other places, but JG's forum get the same special treatment as OCF.
Items:
ASUS P5W-DH (Wireless edition) : $200
Excellent board, I've had zero problems/complaints with this piece. MCH limited to 1.65V. No Voltmods performed. I have removed the chipset and MCH covers as they impeded airflow. This will be included with the board. Max FSB for my CPU is 430 and even 1MHz over that would fail Orthos. I have been running my setup at 430 MHz completely stable. It does get hot, so good airflow is recommended.
Core 2 Duo E6400 Retail (will update stepping info): $200I ran it at 3.44GHz for daily use. Voltage used was 1.5125 V in the BIOS. There may be more in it if you can keep it cool. Orthos Stable, StressCPU stable and 3DM 01 Stable (> 14 hrs).
OCZ Gold PC5400 DDR2 2 X 1 Gb: $190I ran it at PC4800 4-3-4-x. There may be more in it but I was more interested in maxing out the CPU. The MCH was not able to keep up, hence the running below spec.
Coolermaster Centurion (Blue): $30 + shipping (if not buying everything)
Good cosmetic condition apart from a bit of the click-on retaining piece for the first PCI-E rear slot is broken. It can still hold a PCI-E card.
Take everything for $600 shipped
Why am I selling my top-notch gear?
Well, there are several reasons for this. First of all, I'm just not happy with the options I have in an Intel setup. I really miss the tweakability afforded by AMD. I do not like the motherboard setting straps automatically, denying me control over my hardware. Performance is top notch and my benchmark scores will attest to that, but this is not what I want. Make no mistake, this setup offers a lot more consistency and superb stability than anything I have ever owned.
Secondly, I have rebuilt my old DFI-NF4 setup for about 1/3rd of the price, so it would be a good time for me to step back and enjoy something I really liked. My next upgrade will be a K8L. I'm holding out untill then (hopefully!).
Last and probably foremost, I could use the money. :)
Reasonable offers will not be refused.
Shipping and Payment:
No Trades.
All prices are inclusive of shipping if the buyer is in the continental US. I will ship to Canada, but you pay for shipping. I am not responsible for any tax/duties you may incur via customs. I'm not responsible for any customs delays.
