Hello Jonnyguru members,
I went here because i heard that Jonnyguru forum is an expert of PSU's.
I ordered my new pc components (and will watercool the cpu and gpu already have the watercooling components)
here is the list:
Lian Li Tyr PCX-500 case
650WATT or 750WATT PSU?
Intel Core i7 920 (do) overclocked to 3.0 or 3.2ghz
Intel Postville ssd 80gb (G2)
EVGA X58 SLI LE motherboard
EVGA GTX260 super clocked
Mushkin XP3-12800, 6GB, PC3-12800, 1600 MHz, cas 7-8-7-20.
Western Digital Caviar Black 500 GB, 7200 Rpm, 32 MB
Sony Optiarc dvd burner
Cherry G80-3000 keyboard black
Razer Salmossa mouse
And 6 to 7 fans
I'm really doubting wich PSU brand i should get (sillence is a priority, and i live in Europe, holland). First i wanted a Be quiet dark power pro 650W but the innards of seasonic used in Corsair are better then be quiet innards right? The innards of the be quiet dark power series (p7) are FSB.
Any way i tought i should get a Corsair HX620 or HX750. This is the PSU to get... But after reading Corsair forums and searching other forums i noticed complaints regarding the annoying "Coil whine" wich i indeed heard at some posts on youtube. And this issue is not an exeption more people having this issue. Offcourse there are solutions like disable C1E and EIST in bios it works sometimes or do something about Vsync. Anyway what would you recommend me for this setup? Please note il be using 6 or 7 casefans, and pump 5watt.
And i wont be using SLI not now not ever.
Also is a 750WATT a bit overkill for my setup? I tend to think the "headroom" is for more stability so the psu wont ever stress itself wattage or AMPS. Or is a 650 watt more then enough and also great for stability?
I'm realy tired of all the researching cant make a good choice doubting very much....Corsair or Be quiet? Help is much appreciated, thanks in advance.
