EDIT: dreafully sorry about this first post

I would appreciate some clarifications if possible:

I'm currently trying to gather this following rig:

case: Antec P180b
cpu: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
mobo: Asus P5N32-E Sli
psu: Hiper HPU-4M670 or 730

Now these are the questions marks hovering over the assembly process:
I check the 3 parts of the SPCR on Antec's P180 and also tried a little I admit searching different forums over size specifications of the psu casing (image below). My question is, will the Hiper fit inside it? It has 150 X 180 x 86 mm [5.9''x7.1''x3.4'']

Secondly, will it bump into the inner chamber fan, considering it is a revised P180 (with a 120x120x25mm instead of the 38mm thick one)?

Lastly, on the Hiper website, they state that the 24pin + 8 pin cable are respectively 500 and 550mm long, will this be enough to reach their spots on the Asus P5N32-E ? Taking into account that all PCI-e and PCI slot will be occupied?

PS: I forgot this one last question which is kinda essential with the choice I made over the Hiper HPU-4M730/670: it has only one fan (80mm exhaust on the back) and a mesh grill on the front cable side. Will this be ok for a good air flow given that the inner chamber 120mm fan of the P180 should push enough air through the grill (all other side of the Hiper are sealed).

Voila. Thanks all for your time and help. Great site/forum and community

Don't deep link other site's images. That's so tacky.

So.... You're linking pictures of a Seaonic mounted in a P180 case. How may we help you?

again, sorry, I pressed 'Enter' key inadvertingly sending post without having even started writing.

I went to see if Seasonic gave the dimensions of that PSU, but to no avail, so I can't somehow visually compare if the Hiper (or its cables) would hit the fan

Ah.. ok.

I haven't tried it, so take my advice with a great of salt.. but the Hiper is deeper than the S12 and the rigid coaxial type of connectors stick straight out of the housing another 3/4" before you can "bend" the cable.

I'm not sure it wouldn't hit the fan. But then again, I wouldn't have that fan installed. Then again, I wouldn't be using that power supply. Then again, I wouldn't be using that case.

But that's just my 2 cents. ;)

(is it possible to move this to the PSU section, a have further questions and I want to avoid overcrowding with yet another 'psu for my build' thread ?)

Thanks JonnyG for these 2 honnest cents. But being kinda relentless, I came back after some more digging (like the little 'jonny' fella of the Ultra Chilltek display :p disgression on why a worker/digger ->Peltier ->'Pelleteuse' in french=digging machine) anyway, choosing a the right PSU appears to be the most nerve wrecking part in PC build hunting, 3weeks now that I crawled forums/review sites and a full week just for PSU's:D.

I'm still confident on going with the P180, it's the best one for my budget (Lian-Li's are purses' worst nightmare) since I aim for a gaiming rig, I wish to muzzle the most possible by getting the most noise restrictive case.

After ringing some phones and harassing email boxes of every possible belgium retailers, I came up with this final roundup:

Corsair 520HX =120€
Seasonic Energy+ S12-550 =139€
Silverstone Strider ST56F =106€
Silverstone Strider ST60F =137€
Silverstone Strider ST75F =171€

Couldn't find any Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro BQT P6-PRO 600w a little unfortunate since it had 600mm cables and seemed quiet

Obvious choice would be Corsair, everyone seems pleased being boarded by it. However, can anyone owning one say the length of the ATX 24pin and the 8pin EPS 12V cables? Bjorn3d mentions 550mm. [->P180 case]

I own a P180 and cant imagine even a largish power supply being a problem. Make sure you remove that bottom fan while routing cables to the lower hard drive cage. It will save you tons of grief doing the cable routing.
